gnome 3 controversy? no ! it just stinks. (upd)

Lets just face it. You take functionality oout of the user.
It like M$. Turning your system to an appliance. Windows is not an OS no matter how much M$ wants you to say so. Its an application running over your hardware.
Gnome and the junk known as Unity are doing the same thing. Taking control from the user. Dont argue that I still have the shell/ command line. We used windows to push productivity and now youŕe sending it to a stand still. I want my printer controls back where I had complete control over the printer. I want fast clicks and not bouncing my mouse around the desktop to get various screens. Its not the definitions or the windows that I dont like. Its tha apps that are missing. Just try to change the keyboard controls and its a project. I want my sensors right where I can see them at all times. I want to be able to tell -in a blink- that there is net traffic or my disk is reading something. I want to see the system temps.
I am an admin and a security advisor. You are stripping me off tools.
Its mate, cinnamon or xubuntu my only future ? Still ! Why did you have to destroy something that matured and run fine to great? I keep this machine on 10.04 just for the functionality of gnome 2 with my cube and etc effects. Those desktops are just the best.
I know that the youngsters see systems as apps. They are not. Get some real engineers to do the job. You are not. The best thing I can think of you is that you are communists of the soviet era, taking over the control for the people.

No matter how you try, those tablet looking apps, are just too NWO. (android too). At least AQUA is not that bad yet but I can see it comming. At that point Iĺl trash the macs. The experiment of IOS worked but its failing in real people.

(upd) yes, I did an install of xubuntu-desktop and I got my system back. I can create my own launchers  and customized the desktop the way I wanted and not the way YOU believe that it should be.

important example. I launch chromium in incognito. To create a menu item with gnome3 it was a project and not very well defined. In xfce its just a click and drag, away. In case that you have not noticed, I am a very experienced user so dont giveme crap about the features in gnome3.
If MATE was a bit better (or gets there in the future, I'll definately give it a spin)
