The new plastic caps on drinks (sodas etc) are a disaster.
The person that designed it, did not take account of the consumer´s comfort.
I claim my following idea as original and I shall work on to copyright it when I can.
Instead of using the two attachments on the cap, only one attachment with a length of about 2cm (about an inch) or a close variable to this length, can be used. Of course it could be wider, just like the plastic rim on the bottle, so it would not detach easily and it would be easier to handle with the finger.
With this length of the attachment, the consumer does not suffer drinking from the bottle, nor has to cut out the attachment in order to drink. Also it is easier to pour the liquid to the glass or any other container since you are not forced to check the direction of the flow that currently is getting in the way when you try to pour out of the bottle. Its easier to handle, even if you have to use the finger to hold it close to the bottle.
The current design does not even allow that. If you want to be trouble free you have to cut it off and it beats the purpose of using that contraption.
